I am a bit older than you, and new in my transition from female to male. I am so glad even though you have had a slow start with your hormone therapy that your physician erred on the side of caution. Easy at Our age to be desperate for quick results. But we need to preserve our health to enjoy the changes that do come. It does impact the dysphoria not to see those changes quickly, doesn't it ? I see subtle changes and am encouraged, and invariably will go out on some chore and get a "Thank you, M'am" from someone who saw me as female. Takes a lot of "Sirs" to cheer me up.
I have met wonderful courageous mtf Women who didn't have options to transition physically, and I was so impressed with their sweet feminine souls and their impeccable attention to dressing beautifully and accessorize outfits, having impeccable attention to makeup and hair styling, things I was never capable of even with a female body.
Wherever you are in your transitioning, someone will notice your body for a few minutes but if you let the best of your sweet femininity and soft caring and nurturing attitudes come through, that is the picture that will captivate the people who will support you and love you.
I hope you have beautiful outfits to enjoy, and silky makeup and other luxuries to escape to as you go through this seemingly slow period of change. I hope you start to see a lot of little encouraging changes soon.
Sweetheart, you are very brave to have come this far in spite of the dysphoria, and you can stay in there to enjoy the time when your femininity takes hold and starts to blossom for others to see.
God bless,
Liam
The way I look at it is that those 6 months were not wasted. You cant rush perfection, and that is what you want isnt it? I am also very new here, and I find myself getting way ahead of myself in this transition. I have so many changes that have to take place before I can change to my true self. I have a doctor and therapist that I am seeing to help me throu everything.
I am 52 mtf I have known since I was 11 or 12 that I was transgender. I went throu a period when I was in my late 20s doing drag and i just thout I was going throu a faze. I really liked being a girl even if it was just for a short time while I was in drag. Something was missing, I would often get depressed when the stuff came off, because I had to deal with reality that I was realy a man. Now I am doing something that is very uplifting, and comforting, being my true self. Take the changes that you are going throu slowly and enjoy yourself in this prosses. The next 6 months will bring you a little closer.
