Hello everbody, my name is JD and I'm 34 years old and ever since before the age of 5 I felt like I should have been a female. I was diagnosed with gender dysphoria by my therapist in April of this year, but my mother does not accept the diagnosis of gender dysphoria. My late father took legal guardianship of me when I turned 18 in 2002, but when my father suffered from Alzheimer's disease in 2015 my mother took over legal guardianship of me. After my uncle and my father passed, I felt like I had to reveal my true feelings related to gender dysphoria, and that's when my mother said that I am abnormal, stupid, and that she was going to kick me out when she is my caregiver due to the fact that i'm also autistic. I feel that I am defenseless against my mother because of the name calling and the religion that she forces upon me as well as the way that she and her friends treat me. What should I do? Does anybody have any advice for me?
