Maybe the timeperiod you gave them was a little short (just a week-even though I know a week can feel sooooo long if there is something really important going on). I don't want to defend your parents- they are being really disrespectful and that's not okay. But looking at the Situation it would be best if you could get along with for parents for a few more years without feeling uncomfortable in their presence. Maybe your parents also don't want you to get bullied or don't want you to change into something that isn't truely you (because they are used to the way you look without transitioning; it can be hard for non trans people to understand how disphobia works and how freeing it an be to change your body so you can finally feel comfortable in your own skin). So try to give your parents a little more time and in the meantime you could still wear genderneutral (they are masculine so your parents shouldn't worry and they are feminine so you can feel a little better) clothes and that kind of stuff even though I totally understand that you don't want to do this forever but I think you shouldn't rush on your parents for your own good :) Hope I could help a little and good luck

Wear unisex clothes in the meantime.

PFLAG in my city has done so much to help families and trans folks work things out. It is a family setting where parents can meet other parents and realize hos other parents are learning how to be supportive.."when the kids come out of the closet, the parents go in the closet" I heard at a PFLAG conference. So true...parents have to have time to adjust too. Youve had more time to process it than they have. And it can help them be accepting if they can meet others who are supportive.

the clothing and makeup isn't going to really help you that much. you are battling with an ability to be comfortable with who you are. Women wear all makeup, no makeup, have long hair short hair, wear mens and womens clothing, there is really no "being woman" associated with any of those aspects aside from men generally don't do those things cause of some bravado issues. You need to be comfortable in who you are and what you are dealing with. Having been there I can tell you with certainty, the clothes and all will help for a short time only, and then you will still have the exact same issues you do now with being trans and not being able to do Z. Become comfortable with yourself. If you can get into therapy right now that's the best option for you as far as being able to move forward once you are 18.

Upon his departure, he remarked, "I am in many people’s pockets; no one will believe you." Have you ever grappled with the silence that follows sexual assault, where the perceived impossibility of being believed necessitates self-censorship?
