God bless as you make courageous steps of ttransformation to reveal your true self. It is indeed exciting and scarey and the most amazing things to begin to cooperate with that process. Who knows where this takes our long term relationships for intimacy. Those things come to us in little steps I imagine as we have a more genuine self to share. I marvel at becoming the man I could never fully express, and I imagine you are feeling the joy of becoming the woman it was never ok to reveal. No less a miracle than the first birth we had!
All the best to you, Sweet Sister.
Liam
God bless you also. You are awsome. You are so right, it will happen in little steps because this is all so new to me. It can all be a little overwelming at times. Did you go thou that or was it an easy transformation for you? I have sooo many things that i have to do to change my body and mind. Im seeing a therapist, and a psychiatrist.
How long have you been a man and how long did it take for you to feel comfortable in your own skin. I have so many Qs.
Thank you, Big Brother.
Im as new as you so I dont know how to help you. But I am very glad to be here for you. What is your past story and how long have you been Terry? Are you male or female? Terry is a male name to.
Short answer because I have had 5 replies to you vanish from the screen at the point of sending.
I believe that you will likely find that the work you are doing with your counselor and psychiatrist Will be the ::) hardest and most important part of your transition.
I have spent many many years unable to take those steps for a variety of reasons, and now in my sixties am in the most delightful catchup game of my life. Difficult psychological transition to overcome a lifetime of fear to get to this point, but it is so truly appreciated now.
After three weeks on testosterone I felt physical peace and a few people were addressing me as male (or maybe assuming I was a transgender male). Changes on hormones seem steady and Somme very rapid but I understand continue at some level over a lifetime of use. So wonderful to have people acknowledging the real me. Don't know the Hurdles you will have at your age and as a trans woman, but I haven't heard a significant number of people who transition in part or "completely" saying it was anything but the best decision they could have made. I am guessing that like child birth it is a painful experience but leads to a great experience of joy.
Whatever steps you are able to take in physically or socially transitioning I think you will find soul mates who will be in love with the person you are in your head, and will love your body just as it is at any given point and as blossoms into new states of beauty.. I have met some trans women who haven't had real options to transition physically, and after about five minutes talking with them I was totally overcome with their courage and inner beauty and attention to presenting themselves so impeccably. They have soul partners who I imagine they are physically intimate with and remarkable extraordinary lives as community leaders.
My toughest issues are fears of other people, since I am an educator in a relatively small town and my transition is very visible in my school setting.I am finding that for most people, my attitude sets the stage for theirs. If I present as warm and confident and as caring as I was before any transitioning, and keep a smile and my sense of humor(for example, the great irony of having to go through puberty along with my sixth graders as the school counselor, or fixate on which are my new whiskers from the testosterone fairy and which were my old lady whiskers?) that attitude is usually returned. I have several transgender kids in my school, and they need an adult who is one of them saying that they are remarkable people with a wonderful futures and are worth standing up for biblically.
Beautiful Little Sister, enjoy y yourself in this process.

Raging on testosterone,
Liam!
You are a god send to me. I think I will have a very smooth transformation if I keep up with all the good that is happening to me right now. I had a very strong sence of urgency when I started this process. I got right in to see a therapist even thou there was a waiting list to see him more than a month. There was a cancelation right before I called, and I got right in. In our session he refered me to apsychiatrist. I called the next day to get an appointment to see him and again there was more than a month to get into see him, again there was a cancelation and I had to be there in an hour.. Now I meet you on line, and your story has realy inspired me. You are so brave to be able to do what you have done. I just hope that im half as brave as you are. I have known that I was diffrent since I was about 11 or 12. I thout I was gay and was in a gay relationship for four years and something was still missing. I would often fantasize about my boyfriend being a strait guy, and me being a pretty girl, with so much to offer him. I dreamed about having a family with kids and all. I have also been married twice and have a son from my first marrage he is 32 now. I havent had contact with him thou. I am just so amazed by your story. I have to stay in the now for right now. I hope to go through it all, HRT, and surgeries to feminize my face, and breast implants. I want people to see me as a woman and respect me. I have also been thinking about a name I have it narrowed down to two.
Liam god bless you! By the way, you raging on testosterone turned on my estrogen. LOL
your little sister XOXO
Once again x4 I have responded to this and I x3 and the dog x1 have wiped out the responses.
I am very excited for you finding great possibilities for your name. I hope you have a lyrical name that is alluring and shimmers with femininity and carries the messages you most want it to carry. It is amazing to hear your name spoken by someone else for the first time---something else to celebrate.
Your surgeries will provide so much comfort and confidence. Good for you. Hope you are having fantasies of having an intimate partner marvel at those changes and kiss and caress you and caress and caress and caress. So comforting to
know others at last will see you more as you see yourself.
Wonder how hurt will impact your libido. My guess would be that the emotional component of intimacy will seem to expand and deepen while other components will seem less explosive. For me on testosterone im howling over old friends leaving even without a complete body with some pretty intense erections. I probably need to be boxed up and the lid nailed down until this particular adventure calms down a bit...

"Damon" is"Damn."
T rage is on again

Did you have surgeries to change your body or are you just on HRT? The reason I ask is because if I go on HRT I would like to know how much it is going to change my body and how many surgeries it is going to take for me to change my apperance. I am also wondering about the side effects of HRT. My sister went on HRT about three or four years back and she developed a blood clot in her lung, wich she had to take cumaden for. It was a very scary thing for her. She could have died! Are there any health issues that you have expeiranced being on testosterone? I just hope that I have better jeans than my sister, and dont develop the same thing that she did. That will limit me on my transformation, if I cant do HRT.
Little Sis XOXO
I understand your concern about glitches with HRT. For folks like us with high potential for suicide or other mental health issues that put our lives at risk we have to decide what route is riskier.
I think if we get good docs who are relentless in monitoring ongoing labs we will likely do very well. Our part of that is to be just as ready to get to the doc and report quickly if we have unexplained concerns or symptoms. HRT has different risks for trans men and trans women, and besides the hoped for transformations, some side benefits. Testosterone helps reduce the impact of osteoporosis on me, and. Should reduce your risk of heart attack..
I don't know how a. problem with HRT would impact your ability to have a vaginoplasty and have good function for vaginal penetration and sexual intercourse. Those worries and questions would be good ones for your physician or the gender specialist or clinic you are referred to. I do know that there are different options for that surgery and would bet that if you were backed into a corner of choosing to have a vagina which would allow you to have receptive vaginal sex but with some problems such as some problems with producing lubrication or having some differences in optimal sensitive ity that there would likely be ways to work around those problems. I think that with many of these concerns if we can't proceed with HRT for some reason there are at least some plastic surgery fixes that are cosmetic and will still help us on some level even if we can't have the highest function we had hoped for.
I have only had HRT, and realize that as an older person the genital surgery for trans men (and also for you as a trans woman) probably carries a lot of ongoing increase of urinary tract infections which can be pretty serious problems over the rest of life. That would have to be balanced against what we feel is most needed for our quality of life. I know you long for a long term intimate relationship, and would have to weigh all that in deciding what needs Could be met with HRT or Surgery or use of prosthetics, or some other approach. Having a full treatment team at some point will make those decisions clearer and easier. But if you are like me, pre-worry is not only the name of the game but part of the fun...
The only surgery I can proceed with this year is "Top Surgery" removing breasts and reconstructing a more male chest.
I have at least another year on testosterone before I can move ahead with genital surgery. The clitoris,, rowdy little guy with the erections , has to continue to mature on testosterone and gain some more size to be eventually used to construct a penis. I would like a complete male body with the option of penile intercourse, but will have to weigh the risks again for surviving urinary tract infections at that point. I am pretty healthy now, but a year at my age can bring a lot of health changes.
I imagine a plastic surgeon can give you a lot of help with the facial surgery or surgeries. A lot of those folks are amazing artists . I imagine if you strongly resemble a female family member photos can also give you and your doc additional ideas about small changes which could lead to the most natural looking results.
Love ya, Kid.
Hang in there!
Liam
Your manly chest will help you a great deal feel more like a man. I have to say, that you turn me on sometimes, with the way that you word stuff! Ive gotten a little heated up from time to time reading your posts. Im sorry if that offends you in any way. let me know if that is out of line. I think of you as a man, and you make me feel like a lady. Now I got that out of the way! This is just so weird to me, but it feels good at the same time!
My appointments to see my therapist and my psychiatrist are in the morning. Wish me luck! I hope all is well for you.;)
Love Sis
I have soooo many emotions right now. sexual, exited, happy, sad, fear. You name it im feeling it. You are an awsome person, for all the advice that you have given me.. Did you ever think of suicide? I feel a little overwelmed at times, and just hope to be able to go through this transition easly and seamlessly. Suicide is the easy way out of this, but I have thought about it. I will be talking about HRT with my doc in the morning. How long did you have to wait before they started you on testosterone? I just need to go to bed! I feel like I am just rambling.
Have a great day! Sis
