Transgender Support Group
This community is here to support and help the large population of transgender people. If you or anyone you know identify as transgender, this is the place to share your feelings and experiences and speak with others who are going through similar things in their lives.
One of the hardest part about transitioning, is dealing with family members, especially the ones who uses relgion. I'm asuming that you still live with your parents. Besides here at DS, I think It would be a good idea, to do some online research, and see if there is a GLBT support group in your home town community, where you can go out doors in person, to be your trueself.
Before you even talk to your family about this or anyone close to you, you need to be assessed by a certified gender therapist. There is no way around, this way you'll have something to tell your family from a professional.
You do not have to do SRS but it'll confirm that you are indeed FTM, if that makes sense.
Rhonda suggested you look into a transgender support group near by, that's a great idea, this way you'll be able to speak about your issues in a safe environment.
Wolf
Just as wolf and Rhonda have said I couldn't of said it better.
After going through all the tests they put you through, you will have the information to help you along this path. You will feel like a huge weight has been lifted off your shoulders, and you will start the process of feeling more comfortable, and be able to make the best decisions for yourself and well being.
For me, it made the puzzle fit together, and everything was so much clearer. It validated how I was inside, how I always knew I was...it was an answer, granted it was a different time back then however, I believe internally it is not much different
best of luck to you, and those of us who have been there, we understand more than you realize right now
