I'm new to asking people for help but I really don't know what to do. I'm 17 and I have a girlfriend who is totally for me being female but both of us feel that maybe I'm not transgender and I'd just like some help figuring stuff out. Thank you so much for talking with me! I just need advice on what to do. Being a girl has been my only dream since as long as i can remember but recently i just feel like its only that, a dream. And when i look in the mirror, I honestly can see myself as being pretty or looking at all feminine and my family sees it and basically tells me my dreams are stupid and that this is not who i am and its at the point where i don't even feel like trying anymore and just accepting that this can never work out ya know

I know exactly what you mean. It's unfortunate how much others can get inside our heads and make us doubt ourselves.Society has us conditioned to hide who we are. I know people in our lives mean well, but it's still difficult. Family is the toughest because we want and need them in our lives and we don't want to feel like we are disappointing them. It definitely sounds like you might be trans, but you are still really just questioning who you are. And that's okay. You are young and it is a process. There is no set time. Just love yourself and trust yourself. My best advice is to "do you," and see where that leads you. Keep the doors of communication open with your family if you can. I'm here to talk anytime you need to.

Just so you know, that i actually recently talked with someone in a simular situation, and ill tell you, i know quite a few people, who have questioned themselves, but you wouldnt think this way, or feel this way with out some bases, that said, i wouldnt do anything till you are 100% sure.
