My name is Neron, I am 15 years old and this is my story. I'm a UK native from a little town called Sheffield. I recently like in the last year moves to a sleepy town called Sparta in the United States. I went from a super accepting school to a conservative multi level school. I am openly transgender. I have been bullied because of my music taste,  I'm into 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s rock and grunge. I have been pushed into lockers, shoved down stairs and locked in the bathroom. The school hasn't done anything because I'm transgender. I don't know how much longer I can stay at this school before I end up dead. I applied for a lgbt+ accepting school for the next year. My chances are slim to get in. What can I do to make my voice heard?

file a legal suit against the school. give them a written signed document and if they do not act within a few days and take steps to stop the bullying (ie expelling those who are bullying you and so on) get an attorney and sue the school. By law they cannot choose to do nothing and it has been upheld in court time and time again. Aside from that it sounds like you are going to a private school and not a public school, you could always go that route. Private schools tend to be jerks., but write a letter to the school and the district it belongs to informing them of what is going on and who specifically you have notified of the incidents and that nothing was done and as a result this is official notification that the next step will be you seeking legal recourse. you also might write a letter to the local social columnist of local and state newspapers, they always like shredding schools and such for social justice things.

Neron, I am so sorry you have had these experiences. Schools should be safe for every student. I am a school counselor at a middle school. Have you approached a school counselor to discuss what has been happening to you? If not I would encourage you to do so. Also listen to WyndWytch. If the school does not act immediately to correct the bullying then they are at risk to be sued.
You did not mention being part of any friend groups. Have you made friends at your new school? Sometimes having friends can help stop the bullies because you have people to help stand up to them. If you have not made friends are there school clubs that interest you? Sometimes joining a club can help you make friends with common interests.
Sounds to me like you have great taste in music. Keep your head up and good luck.
