Transgender Support Group
This community is here to support and help the large population of transgender people. If you or anyone you know identify as transgender, this is the place to share your feelings and experiences and speak with others who are going through similar things in their lives.

I go by Pete, and I recently just came out to my family about being trans and wanting to move forward with my FTM transition. My family has accepted me and want to help me out in any way they can, which is a huge load off my shoulders, but sadly my boyfriend of three years ended our relationship. I don't blame him, he didn't sign up for this.
My family wanted me to go see a psychiatrist so I could have someone to talk to since they don't really know much about this, except for my sister. They have suggested that I join a support group and get to know others who are experiencing/have experienced the same things that I am right now.
A little about myself:
I am a senior studying Geography with a minor in Biology(ecology focused), I am attracted to men but am worried that men will not be attracted to me since I won't be a "real woman" or "real man". I am in the process of losing feminine muscle and building more "masculine" muscle in my upper body to get my body healthy enough to consider T and top surgery. I have cardiac arrhythmias (PVCs & PACs) so I am not sure if T will be possible for me. I unfortunatley will never consider bottom surgery since it seems rather extreme.
I would really like to make friends on here and be a part of an accepting community where I can feel safe and learn from others who are like me.
