In a few days it will be a year since my mother passed and I been beyond depressed. Nothing seems to make me happy and I am starting to question if I will be able to transition in my life. It all seems quite impossible lately and I keep hearing these voices telling me "you are an embarrassment to the family" and just reliving times in my life when I have been called a big nothing, loser and a few other choice names. On top of that I have to find a place to live and can't seem to find one that I can afford. For a while now when I was dressing and going out, at least when I felt insecure I could come home and feel somewhat safe, but now... Ugh! Anyone have some words of encouragement because I really need it about now.

First and foremost, you are NOT a loser. Second, I'm sorry for your loss:-( . Sorry you are in such a bad place right now, clouds my come your way, but try to keep a positive outlook and look for answers. I don't know what your financial situation is, but you might want to look into some goverment assissted rentals or housing if you qualify. If you have family members who are giving you a hard time about your transitioning I'm sorry, but don't set your self worth on what thoughs family members thinks. You are a beutiful person and are in a tough place and family should be there to lift you up and support you and not to ridicule you. I haven't come out to my whole family yet, just a few so far. I know I would not get the support of most of my family either, but I'm older and wouldn't care if they approved or not. If you have anyone in your family that will help it might not hurt to ask, if that is an opption, the worse they can do is say no, and you are no worse off than you were before. I wish I could help raise you up, you look like a beutiful young woman, and I'm sorry for your loss. Just take some time to assess your situation and decide which way you are going to go. You have a bright future if you make the decision to make it happen. I hope things go your whay, you are a good person and can make good things happen. Good Luck. :-)

Bout the best I can say is, things do get better in time. I don't know if or how close to your mom you were, but in the grand scheme of things everyone has their grieving time and that time varies from person to person. Having those echos from the past enter into it adds to the duration as you have to deal with that stuff to. The fact of the matter is all those echos are from those who never knew who you were and thus you have to find the worth in yourself to quiet them. I wish I could say that there is a quick way to make you feel better but time is the only thing that will in the end. You might (try to avoid it if you can) go to a doc and get antidepressants to help take the edge off. I don't normally suggest meds, but in some cases they help, I just don't think someone wants to be on them for a LONG time. With the housing thing, it will come, it is just going to take time. It all comes back to that one word... Time. *huggles*

This is one of those moments when you have to pause for a moment, take a deep breath, look at all the positive and good things you have going on right now. as trite as it seems, following the Monty Python song does help you to get through sometimes. It's helped me a lot! :)
