How do you come out as transgender to your best friend that you've known for nearly a decade..?

be open and honest. This person has been your friend for a long time, if they truly care for you they will stick around and respect you for you.

I would first say to do it in public space or by sending them a text message or email if you don't know there views on the LGBTQ+ community just in case they have got a negative view on it and flip out on you.
But if you do know they have a positive view on it,you can come out in person,if they say something like “But you will still be {birth name} to me.“ you can reply by saying “I'll still be the same,I'll just change my name and appearance,the it,I will still be the same person.“ .
