Battered down.

Hey, so im feel, so, so, so, battered down, its literally been months and months since i first felt depressed and dysphorical, and it doesn't look like its going to end, not untill i am who i feel like i am anyway. Recently, Its gotten so much worse, and AHHH, its horrible, thinking about how long i have got till i can start my transition, specially because im not even on the waiting list for the gender clinic i can goto, because fucking camhs is retarded, and are full, even though those are the ones who are suppose to help children and adolences in need, And so now i have months and months till anything will be done. I feel so worn down from feeling this way, and the thought of every day inbetween where i am now to who i want to be, tortures me. We are talking hundreds, upon hundreds, upon hundreds of days, and my god, is it difficult to cope. Any help, Just some motivation would be nice right now to be honest, anything. Also, Joel, If you reading this, ill send a message soon, when my mind isnt all fucked.

I'm tremendously sorry that you're feeling run down, Caitlyn. I've experienced this feeling as well in the last few months, but as an adult, it's safe to say our situations differ a fair bit. That being said, I want to encourage you to have hope. The wait for HRT or even counselling can feel endless, but with that said, time is very fluid. A day passes in the blink of an eye if you have things keeping you busy - with school, with work, or with volunteer opportunities. Time will pass, and before you know it, you will be where you want to be, as the person you can imagine yourself being. The wait is tough, I understand this so so well, but my biggest piece of advice to get through it is to keep yourself busy. Join a school club or sport, plan a walking/jogging route around your neighbourhood to do on a daily or semi-daily schedule, or maybe make a list of books you're interested in reading and see if they're available in your local bookstore or library (reading eats up so much time, fr srs). Celebrate each day you get through, and plan other things to do throughout the week; having things to look forward to and plan towards short-term is a good motivator to keep going.

I hope you can get onto the patient list at a gender clinic soon, and wish you all the best in your journey. Stay safe, love yourself, and give yourself a chance to be happy. =)

Seriously, thank you oliver, you got me thinking about life, and you know what your right, time will pass, I have realised that the only thing that will stop me becoming who i want to be, is me, if i do anything stupid, and yes, im still in pain, and yes it hurts thinking about how long i have to wait, but also, your right, time will pass. Its amazing how a message can make you realise something like that. I feel beaten down still, but im trying just to take it and ignore, not to let it get on top of me, and it still does, and its a daily thing still to break down in tears, but i will get there, in the end, hopefully.
