Ya my husband has it , and now my 4 year old has it , because its hereditary.

WE've been married for 10 years , but have known eachother since we were little kids , most of his life he didn't know it was T.S , his parents never helped him. So as kids we were all used to it , but a lot of people made fun of him , when they'd ask him waht he was doing , he didn't know how to answer , because he had no idea what was wrong with him. Only when he became a young adult on his own did he research and find out what he'd lived with his whole life. So at least with my son , I can help him as much as I can when he grows up and it gets worse.

My wife didn't know know what was either until she seen on tv when we first got married.
is you husbands vocal tic very bad my wife's are at time.

Yes my husband has TS . Although it has never been diagnosed. His tics are very mild and we only realised that he had it when my son was diagnosed over a year ago.We didn't know much about TS until then. He says that thinking back to his school days he used to get teased because of his tics. That was over 30yrs ago. He still suffers from anxiety and has a number of phobias and complusions

my wife stays in a lot we only go out and socialize when her tic are mild sometimes there very severe and keeps her up for days.

My husband also has anxiety ,and has been perscirbed a sort of valium type drug to ease tension. He really has a better control of it as an adult , so he never feels the need to stay indoors because of it , but he also has extreme trouble with my son having it , and chooses to act like I'm making it up or ignores the issue , when we need to see the doctor and help him with therapy when he becomes older. My husband can't talk about my sons T.S at all. Its very alienating and lonely.
Funny thing is he also dicovered what he had from a T.V documentary done on T.S , and broke down , he finally knew what he had all these years. When we argue of he's stressed , his tics are at his worst. I can know if he's going to speak before he does , because of the type of tic he's doing. I guess that also goes along with growing up together and really knowing eachother well.
