Diagnosed recently with tourettes at the age of 21, a few days ago. Now 22 birthday on the 28th, I've always had tics but went undiagnosed, and some even go unrecognized, when im in public places I used to be able to hold them in until recently.. Maybe I ticced in public wihtout knowing it, but it never really bothered me until now!. Id get a feeling to tic but them went away until later at home those nights, and I would tic for hours; not really realizing I was doing them despite them being so powerful. I started to think that there was something wrong... Why didnt I notice them.. and why am I so good at holdiong them in. I suppress them to the point I dont have to until it just explode out of me like diarhea on taco night. Newly found,, Gestures, swearing, neck stretches, saying the word vagina,(IDFK Y), even seeing tics I've had but have gone un-noticed,... I have questions needing to be answered? is it possible to only have one swearing tic, does tis mean its coprolalia.. Sometimes I have tics that never show up again, (The randos).. is that possible? Is it like this for others?... Or is it only me? In my friend group I repeat other peoples words. Change the words so they sound different, but it wasnt a feeling I got, I just did it.. I want to know what ohers think about this because I am slightly in disbeleif. sometimes it feels like a sneeze, sometimes it can feel like an intense urge, sometimes it just happends. Very complex indeed.
