Temporomandibular joint disorder, or TMJ syndrome, is an acute or chronic inflammation of the temporomandibular joint, which connects the lower jaw to the skull. The disorder and resultant dysfunction can result in significant pain and impairment.
i feel like im goingto drive everyone nuts with me talking about this & that they are going to get fed up.
does anyone else ever feel this way?
I would also highly recommend starting to research some great TMJ docs and then maybe setting up appts. to get different opinions and different options. Their are things that can be done, you could do splint therapy(but it would have to be the right splint give your situation, which means you would need a true TMJ expert), their are injections like botox that I've heard others talk about, their is pain management clinics, I've heard many people say how amazing it was for them........their is of course surgery, but this should be used as a last resort, which I'm sure you know.
Please visit the website called TMJ HOPE, it has lots of info about ALL treatments of TMJ, they even have a facebook page. I wish you the very best of luck. Keep us posted on how you are doing.
