haven't figured this out yet. thought i'd ask first if anyone has nailed this one down yet:
sound triggers my tinnitus, oh yes it does.
but if i subject my "good" ear only to the sound, and block my T ear completely, will I still spike the same??
Is it the T ear that causes the spike, or is it the brain so that it doesn't matter which ear got hit?

Well, I have T in my left ear which reacts to noise whereas my right ear is the 'standard' flat constant tone. Spike-wise, my right tends to do this more than my left, and it can be for something in particular or sometimes for no reason at all. I guess that the left and right are connected by the eustachian tube so this may be why ?
I listen to my Ipod in my 'good' ear and it still does sometimes get a reaction on the left !
