One positive thing though is since I've given up caffeine I haven't gotten a headache. I used to get them every day and every day I took ibuprofen. I kind of wonder if taking so much anti-inflammatory for so long contributed to me getting T.
I've done 20 sessions of acupuncture, some cranio sacral, 'quietus' pills, none of them have worked so far. still trying cranio sacral. I use clonazapan when I need it.
I'm also getting into Scenar, no results yet.
I'm just trying to manage myself in the face of this and it's an everyday challenge.
But here's a question: I've been taking Zyrtec (generic) for allergies regularly for several months but stopped for a few days, just to see if I really need it this time of year. Well, my t spiked! And I started sneezing! I took my regular doze last night and the t is a bit quieter today. Does anyone know of or understand a correlation between allergies and t?
Mine started as a result of sudden hearing loss, not allergies.
Take it for what it's worth. I don't know if that list is complete, but I know for a fact that stress makes mine worse. I have stopped drinking tea and coffee (or at least only drink decaf). I only occasionally have a coke.
I'm pretty sure salt/sodium makes my tinnitus worse too. I try to stay away from salty things as much as possible.
But you're right; we can name things that make tinnitus worse, but nothing that makes it better, at least as far as I know!
I did not see a mention of salt. If it wasn't mentioned, too much salt at one time, like soups, frozen foods, and things like chips seems to make my tinnitus scream for a few days. I am talking screaming here. Lol.
A big hug to you, I hope you find your triggers.

I have 3/4 of an acre that needs weekly mowing and its on a huge hill I have to go up and down on over and over again. I use a rider but the transaxle went out and its apart in the garage waiting on parts. Ive been using a self propelled push mower for the last three weeks and my T is actually better after using the push mower so like so many on here have said, exercise does help. When I get the rider fixed I may start taking walks to see if my T continues to stay at an acceptable level.
