i am really understand with your situation which we call Tinnitus which is sound coming from the ears , ENT and even more tests could not improved . It is a night mare when you loose hope

But, if laying down and really listening to your T you can get it to go down, I'd say go for it! It's one of the only things that doesn't cost anything to try.
-hear it over traffic? or silent room type?
-ever get a loudness match done?
-single tone/multi tone?, buzzing, whine?
-constant or fluctuating?
-one or both ears? head?
