I began seeing a chiropractor who also performs acupuncture. He had had at least 200 hrs. of training in acupuncture and has a great understanding of it. Its important to find someone that has had sufficient training hrs. in it. I began seeing a chiropractor over a year now for my tinnitus. He adjust my neck and back both and does ear acupuncture that is without needles, he uses a device. The ear points he treats are the anxiety, depression, allergy, menopause, sleep, and inflammation points. My tinnitus is not gone but is much more evened out and lower since I started seeing him and I feel better as a whole. Best Wishes!

I think it's going to take something modern, not ancient, to tackle this. Too many gazillionaires have not been able to cure themselves of tinnitus, so i can say capitalism has shown a cure has not existed in the past.
The only non-capitalist solution i can think of that nobody in their right mind has probably done is complete silence for 6-12 months, ie block the ears with construction-worker headsets and meditate and lock out any possible noise in the hopes the nerve involved heals as perfectly as possible. IF that's even the cause, they can't even tell us that for sure.
For the record i saw my ENT today and he couldn't help but manage a devilish grin when i asked about tinnitus, he admitted the profession has abandoned T, leaving it to people who deal in the brain.
