Just wanted to let you know although she didn't know why it left, i spent the weekend in another city and met a girl who said she had constant annoying ringing in one ear for 3-4 years and as usual eventually became -somewhat- conditioned...
alas.. one day she realizes hell yeah, it's gone.
she hasn't had it since!
unfortunately she did not know why it came, or why it left, but by the look in her face when she talked about it I'm quite sure it was the real-deal annoying tinnitus.. she did say 24/7 ringing.
Question for you all... do you find your tinnitus fades louder and quieter all day round and round in some sort of pattern?
today it's low.. but when it's at it's loudest-state like yesteday i noticed it was 10-20 seconds killer, 10-20 seconds less... over and over... anybody else?

No pattern here, it's either loud 24/7 or low if I have a rare blessed low day....I don't know why it does what it does....I've never been able to find any rhyme or reason to it.

my friend got T 4 weeks ago.. he called me today to say it's been gone about a week.. so OK it's not quite what we all have had.. i'm going on 6 months now.. but it is another case of 24/7 tinnitus going away after some extended period.... three weeks is not much but it was a nice call to get i felt terrible my friend got it after vertigo only after i told him about mine and he gets vertigo all the time, so i think i might have psychologically attached him to his own tinnitus so i am glad it's gone for him.... he's got 4 screaming kids and a wife... better ME than him.. he's my buddy all my life and god knows i wouldn't wish this on my biggest enemy let alone my friend.. i'll take it...hey i already deal with it...
