Something we CAN do

Friends, something we can do for this condition we suffer from. The scientific community does not recognize this as a disease. Most have learned to live with it and not require treatment. Hence there is no money in treatment or further studies that lead to treatment. It does not have to be that way. The hearing aid white noise machine does not work (at least for me) hence only source of revenue for device makers. But I have found for me, alchol (not promoting hard drinking ), allergy drugs which i take in allergy season does calm it down, lowers the noise. Why doesn't big pharma realize there is a BIG MARKET out there for anti-tinnitus drugs and plunge billions into it ? They won't do it without us putting that msg in their heads.

Thoughts ? Actions ?

I think there are many factors that can lower and or make tinnitus worst. I know stress plays a lot into it, as well as some foods and drugs and a loud environment.

With me, I have what is called reactive t. This means any noise can cause it to go up. It cannot be masked for me.

I take allergy meds at times, but I have to check out what you have discovered.

I do not drink much, but maybe check out a little wine.
Would it not be great to have some relief. :)

Hey Kasandra, Let me buy you the first drink... :)..I am going to be trying something a little different and looking into biofeedback to see if it helps out any. Has anyone ever tried electro-shock therapy?

I don't drink alcohol, but I will start if it helps LOL- for me personally I had a pretty rough week with it higher than usual and also clicking, one night I had salt with dinner and I think the salt helped- sounds crazy, but it may have to do with bp (mine is low) but I have heard when it is high the ears ring as well (not sure what to do there) just happy its ringing at a lower decibel today.
