I have offially decided that I indeed have HISSING tinitis. For a long time, I kept looking for where the nose was coming from. It sounds like an old fashioned radiator like the kind in old inner city apartments. Like steam coming out of a valve.

I kept looking and looking and since I live in a condo with another unit above me. I can hear their plumbing. I hear when they flush and when they are taking a shower or running  their washing machine. So I kept thinking it must be coming from upstairs. 

And, it was sporadic.  So I kept ignoring it although i did go online and discovered tinitis could take the form of HISSING.

Well, tonight it stopped being sporadic. It's been consant for about an hour, the longest ever. I walked all around my condo and outside. It's in my ears - not coming from any plumbing!

So what now? I just live with it until, if ever, it becomes incapacitating?
