Ok, here we go.
The way it works, is they implant a very small pacemaker and battery.
It will go under your skin from the chest over the shoulder, and into the neck.
The device will be operated form your pc, with their software. This device will send a signal to the brain, along with tones that will be played through a set of headphones, that you will be wearing, for one month only.
The signal from the device will be in sync with the tones, that will be played for about two hours a day.
The 10 people in Belgium, all saw reduction in there Tinnitus, after the 30 days.
Micro Transponders is spending another 3 million dollars, on the next trial, with allot of people involved. This will happen, very soon.
They are going to send out a report in the first quarter of next year, about the results, of both these trials.
The representative said they want to get approval form Europe to perform these surgical implants, hopefully after the seminar they are having in Belgium in the summer of 2012.
It only takes two hours for the implant. He said it is very safe, and there has been no problems at all, with the 10 patients.
The implant can stay in your system forever. The batteries last for 20 years.
If your Tinnius happens to come back, all you have to do, is re-run the program, and your tinnitus will go away.
The 10 patients did this, 6 months ago, and done of them have had there Tinnitus come back on them
The tinnitus does not go away totally, but it just depends on the individual, each case has it's own merits.
It some cases it can could possibly go away completeley, but it depends on how bad your Tinnitus is, going into the surgical implant.
