I wouldnt go so far as to say it looks promising, Its a new idea thats untested and unproven and has no cited peer review papers on the procedure. Im not saying it wont work but i cant find any info on why they think it will work. Maybe i missed something.

Even so i have emailed them to see if i can be part of the trials as im not to far away in the UK and it doesnt seem to use any untested drugs or invasive procedures.

They have some serious financial backing, i.e. the Irish government.... I would venture to guess the Irish gov is looking to patent this and has gotten in as an angel investor to get a cut of $.

The one thing I like about what there saying is that they believe they can eliminate tinnitus, unlike nueromonics which pretty much says the tinnitus will still be there, but youll be able to deal with it.

Looks like a type of biofeedback but instead of having the electrodes on the face or hands it's on the tongue.

My understanding...

The tongue/ears are very receptive to stimulation... you get headphones that play some type of sound and that sounds is matched to this "lollipop" type device you put on your tongue, probably with some type of pulsing im guessing. Your brain makes the correlation between the 2 stimulations, i.e real sound in headphones & pulses on your tongue and slowly weeds out the fake sound (Tinnitus).

Probably not anytime soon or at all.

If trials go well in Dublin, I would expect the product to be commercialize and sold sometime next year, after that you would see it in the US.

That being said, if it does work, Id be on the 1st plane to Dublin to get "hooked up"

I'm guessing because your in the UK & I'm in Canada.

The tea kettles whistling on the stove and the wind chimes are blowing by the fan on high and the clothes pin on my tongue is really starting to bother me and the only relief I'm getting is from my wife complaining about the spilled beer can on the floor. The dog did it, really. Just wanted to report on my own mute button experiment here at home. I'm going to try this for 90 days straight and I'll report back....
