Let's get the ball rolling on this. I'm simply tired and worn out from having to deal with my tinnitus. Quality of life? What the heck is that? I want this to work,every person on this forum to be cured and when we are cured we all throw a party where we all could meet and just have a good time.

My wife works at the University of Iowa Hospital and she found out there is a neurologist at the hospital who has tried a few things to help people with tinnitus.

She saw him the other day and she told him about my situation and he said by all means to make an appointment and we can have a talk. My guess is he will probably have heard about this MicroTransponder procedure.

So i'm making the appointment next week and going to take the MicroTransponder information with me and maybe he could open a few doors to get me involved with this procedure in some way. I have to try.

I am hoping they have found a cure or relief for all of us, and if not all of us, a large percentage of us that suffer daily. I did not think I could hold out when this first started, but now I believe I can make it to try these new procedures and medications that are being developed. I would participate in a trial on VNS.

it's so sweet and warming to read this, and surreal at the same time.. i wish there was more details available about which kind of tinnitus disappeared, noise induced or t from other causes, was the success permanent or temporary.. i tried searching about this but found nothing, anyone have more info on this ?

Wow, I'd consider this guys tinnitus a nice improvement over mine. Try 24/7 and I wonder what he'd be doing. Whatever gets us attention.

I agree! That low pitch off and on during a day would be way easier to deal with than the 11khz I hear all day and almost every day (without meds).

We need to start a sub-group of tinnitus support.....Super Tinnitus!
