Serenity System for Tinnitus 10-Patient Clinical Trial Successfully Completed
Spring is an exciting time for MicroTransponder. The 10-patient tinnitus clinical trial demonstrated that our Serenity System* therapy is able to clinically reduce tinnitus in the patients. Using the Tinnitus Handicap Questionnaire, 70% of the patients experienced a significant reduction in their tinnitus. This is just one of the positive outcomes of the trial. We will be presenting our entire set of clinical data Tinnitus Research Initiative Conference in Belgium this June.

We are seeing the clear signal that our therapy is working. After decades of tinnitus research, we now have a trial showing positive short-term outcomes for tinnitus patients who have previously failed other treatments. We are very excited to be very close to finishing our current round of funding and focusing back on clinical trials using a fully implantable device that is ready for clinical trials and commercialization. We hope to bring this therapy to the patients as soon as possible. We see the exciting promise of our therapy in other areas of neurological disease as well.

If these numbers hold up, it means 30 people out of 100 will have the device surgically implanted at their own expense and it will do them no good at all... Many of those people will take second mortgages, or get loans, or go into serious debt to afford the $30,000+ fee...
I have tried several things that have helped between 67- 83% of T sufferers according to clinical trials, and not one of them has had any impact at all..... I am highly skeptical.
They are trying to get the percentages closer to 100 %
They know people are not going to spend $20,000, unless they can guarantee a higher success rate.
"most disturbing condition that should not be taken so lightly by this world proper i mean sturdy warnings should be given to younger generations. i mean POUND IT in their heads NO LOUD IPODS!. "
Maybe that is your calling in life. Younger people are more likely to listen to their peers. No guarantees, but more likely. :0-)
In those cases they should offer a refund, minus $200 restocking fee.
Lets write them this proposition...if they are confident in the 70% figure, they should still make a huge amount of profit.
