Good luck. When I first got rheumatoid arthritis I was searching for alternative treatments as the drugs the doctors wanted to put me on are very toxic. I was on a website called roadback.org and they are very much into removing mercury fillings. You might want to pop over there and ask around, they are very knowledgable.

Thanks Sue, will check it out. Off for a baseline test tomorrow. Unfortunately has to be sent to the States & will take 3 weeks before the results come back to New Zealand. Wonder how much worse it will get over that time.
Have found a good dentist who specialises in mercury removal. They won't start removal until the chelation is underway so as not to risk putting a further load on the body through the mercury vapours.
Are you on Methotrexate?. My son was on that for a short thankfully. I'm aware that the side effects can be pretty nasty. but sometimes no alternative.

I was on Methotrexate for 5 years...I was convinced it caused my T...rheumatologist said "nonsense" but I refused to take it any longer. I'm now on Enbrel which is nasty side effects too but I had a very low quality of life without it. Also prednisone. Good luck with the chelation and mercury removal.

hey your in your 50s so whats the big deal , just have them replace with amalgram (mercury) its cheaper. you dont ever want to pull your teeth , a good tooth for that reason.. where is Mercury a cause of Tinnitus ???? keep your teeth God gave you.....

Rozia , I think you miss the point.......mercury is making me extremely unwell, poisoning my body.Age is irrelevant(I think you must be young)
If you look up effects of mercury on the body you'll find a huge array of symptoms.T being one of them.
I will be doing my best to hold onto my teeth.

about 7 years ago i had all the mercury removed from my mouth and had my fillings replaced with ceramic. had about 6 done at the same time. do not recommend that no matter what the dentists tells you. he over medicated me with novicane and it truely sucked. there are some very good protocals to follow when you have it done as far as keeping the recovered mercury out of your mouth !!! so be sure to go to a dentist that specializes in this proceedure. really specializes in it. also, there is a bunch of other stuff so i would do a good deal of research online about what you need to do before and after. good luck. about the t- i just got out of a construction trade i had been in for the last 5 years. i just sort of blew off the noise because i have had t for 40 years. my t has come down about 80% in the last week. stay away from stress and stay away from noise- even driving. i had a 2 1/2 hour freeway commute every day in my little civic and now that it is gone i am doing better. my next car will be a lexus. i am looking at one tommorrow...

Both the Dr & Dentist specialise in Mercury removal. The teeth will be done 1 at a time over a period of months.

Its pretty important to note that mercury binds to sulfur groups in certain amino acids in your cells and can stay there for a very very long time unless it is actively transported out of the body. So even if you have the source of new mercury removed those stores of mercury remain in our body. Also important to note is that mercury settles into the tissues of the body, sulfur containing amino acid groups, and blood tests won't show true body tissue levels.

Oh and if any of you are thinking about getting fillings removed you can get it done in highly upscale and professional dental hospitals in Bangkok for a tenth of what it would cost here. I had 8 fillings removed and replaced with composites for about 300 bucks a few years ago. The dental clinic that I went to was equal to if not better than something one would expect to find in Beverly Hills.

I had a provacation test through urine over 6 hours. That gives a truer indication of the bodies load of heavy metals. My chelation therapy will take a good 2 years or more as I have an extremely high mercury/lead burden.Needs to be done very slowly.

Agreed. I attempted chelation using DMSA at 100 mg dosages a couple times a day, but that felt like it was too much for me. Per Andy Cutler's Protocol I've since gone with using 20-30mg dosing every 4 hours or so, although I don't take it very often. I've also been taking glutathione sublingually since GI absorption is very poor.

Anybody that attempts to chelate, should always start with low dosing of chelators and work their way up. The amount of mercury contained in a single tooth filling would be enough to kill the average adult if released at one time into the body. Leaving the fillings in is bad, but releasing the body stores of mercury too quickly can be bad as well. So please do be careful with any chelation protocol as the consequences can be serious.

Agree with you pandabear. I'm not allowed to start removing fillings for another 6 months & 1 at a time. I'm being strictly surpervised by a doc that specialises in Chelation therapy.
