Here's what I noticed today. I woke to very low T, which is very, very unusual. We haven't gotten rain in a month so I decided to give my trees a good watering, turned on the hose and it was making this horrible squeaking sound. I tried to ignore it but couldn't so I turned it off and of course T spiked. I don't know if it was because of the actualy noise this faucett was making or that I was worrying about it but it's been loud either way. I feel so stupid for ruining what could have been a blessed day but who ever would have thought that running a hose could produce such a high pitch squeal? I've been kicking myself all day.

I'm glad you enjoyed the concert and don't have hell to pay.

I listen to loud music in the car all the time. Doesn't seem to bother me. It's the only place I listen to music except the odd thing on youtube which I will also crank as loud as my speakers can handle. I'm not endorsing loud music for anyone, just saying it's not an issue with me that I can tell yet. I might be sorry someday but, we'll see.

Oh Sue, I am sorry about the day turning loud. That has happened to me so many times. Have you thought of wearing ear plugs? I guess you did not expect the noise coming from the hose.
I hope tomorrow will be better for you.

just tested a loud concert.. it didn't spike me.. i'm wondering if that is because i was enjoying it as opposed to other loud annoying sounds that make my ears 'cringe' and maybe the nerve contract suddenly?

It didn't spike you because your ears aren't in bad shape and your tinnitus is obviously caused by something other than loud noise.

@ Fotoduck and NeilsterI wouldnt be testing a loud concert. It could backfire on you. You shouldnt "test" a loud concert because you could damage your hearing and your tinnitus spike up. Wear earplug at a concert to protect them.

@ Sue....I totally get your post. Im the same way sometimes. I was sitting at the dining room table yesterday, ears were quiet, then at 11 am something turned them on high and the rest of the day I was sound sensitive. Today it's low. I think because of the medication Benztropine (not a benzodiazapene) and it's incredibly low. It helps control hand tremors from a med I take. It totally relaxes you, which might mean I too stressed and need to relax? Hope for another good day for all of you. Judy
