The new sound maybe is a spike. Mine will vary with my food choices. Higher sodium and I'm experience a range of various noises from loud hissing and clicking to softer sounds. Also stress may bring this out for you. Having a nights sleep and a calming influence upon stress, and the t will usually be lower the next day.
Hope it gets better soon.
I've tried a lot of other "techniques" like sound therapy and changing my diet, but I always go back to those pills. Have you thought of trying that? Has it worked for anyone else? Would like to hear other experiences.
I have been on klonopin 1 mg at night to help lower the noise, reduce the mind chatter and sleep.
I also think that my hypertension medication increases my tinnitus.
I am titrating down off of klonopin. Today is day 5 and I am starting to feel it. :(, but am only going down by .25 mg per day. If I can hold out for at least two weeks at .75 mg then hopefully the third week won't be difficult.
It doesn't seem to have increased the level of the T noise as yet. But we'll see tonight. Today is the first day that I have started feeling withdrawals. I do hope that the noise level does not increase.
I will be starting acupuncture tomorrow. It has worked in the past for me for my neuro muscular issue.
This T is hideous. Can't believe there is no treatment.
