I suffer from Tinnitus in both ears. The most prominent noise I hear is a high-pitched whistle, which is constant.

For over a year, I've been hearing another noise. It sounds like the distant rumble of the bass on someone's radio who is too far away to hear any music. I hear it only in my left ear. At times it is louder than at other times. Other times I don't hear it at all. The only place I hear it is in my house. If I walk outside, I don't hear it any longer. It is louder in some rooms than others. The first time I heard it was when I had a really bad cold that had plugged up my ears. I'm the only one who hears it. My husband doesn't hear it at all, even when it's at its loudest. I don't know if this is tinnitus or if the noise is real. I would appreciate any thoughts or opinions anyone has.
