Now this past week the tinnitus will come back in a short time so I just listen to music at a low level to mask it for pretty much the whole day. You do what you have to do. Have you heard of "Notched Music Therapy"?
I've heard of Notched Music Therapy, but have no idea what it is! Have you tried it?
But that isn't sound therapy. It's just masking.
I do not know what caused my tinnitus. I had trouble sleeping one night five years ago and when I finally went back to bed my ears started to ring. I have seen three ENT within those five years and I have had 3 hearing test, 1 MRI, and one brain stem response test. The last hearing test that I took was the first time I showed extremely mild hearing lose to high frequency sounds at a very low volume, however when they bing the sounds off the back of my skull I was able to hear all of them so my doctor stated that it was probably my Tinnitus interferring wtih the test. The only reason I went back to see an ENT is because my "T" has gotten worse which I feel is do to the fireworks that we saw at our neighbors party on August 14th, however, the "T" didn't flare up until one week later. I do have to say that it has gotten somewhat better since then, but I am afraid that it isn't going to improve anymore to where I can't hear it at all during the day regardless of the srounding ( that is how controlled my "T" was before the party).
