Very few side effects. And it looks like we have a few people in our group, who has had success with using piracetam.

I am familiar with the digital devices that are used to treat tinnitus. I myself used one for 3 months but there were no results. I typically take over the counter medications to help alleviate the symptom that I have. I'm thinking I have developed acute if not serious tinnitus from ear infections, gun ranges(without headphones), and loud music. I was frequently taking actifed and b-complex to help with the issue but I was hardly getting results(some but not many). I have been getting much much more improvement with taking piracetam. I typically get it from www.smartdrugsforthought.com because they use kosher vegetarian capsules(yes I am a vegan to say the least). I wonder how it would be synergistic with a TIPA digital program. I'm curious to find out. I still have the "clogged" hearing impairment with a slight screeching, painful, fuzzy noise from sleeping on the ear with tinnitus. I believe it is permanent but I have beeting getting better results using Piracetam+caffeine. Good luck to you and stick with the program. I know it will get better and god bless!

I have to agree with the guy posting above me. I've been taking Piracetam to help me with school and staying attentive, and I've noticed that it's caused the ringing I've been experiencing for the last 3-4 years to be severely reduced. I started hearing the ringing after going to an outdoor electronica music festival, and I initially dismissed it as just minor ear damage, it wasn't until it had persisted for a year and a half that I started to get worried. I tried taking anti-biotics because I was misinformed that it was due to an ear infection. When that didn't help I gave up, and just stopped putting my ears in situations where they would be subject to noises that might cause the ringing to come and linger for a few days.
I started taking piracetam before finals (around late November '11) and I didn't notice until like a month and a half in that I wasn't hearing the ringing noise as often. I haven't heard the ringing for a while, and I've been taking piracetam daily (around 2,400 mg a day).
