I've head that a lot of Tinnitus issues are directly related to the little hairs being impacted, i,e nerve damage due those little hairs being damaged. And was told that once those are damaged there is nothing that can be done. Well, I just heard on, I think it was Fox news this morning that they have discovered a way of growing those hairs back! it's still the in first stages but it looks very promising.

I will be praying for those researchers to hurry their research along so that we no longer have to suffer with this miserable disease.

I pretty sure is was on Fox cable channel so if any one wants to read about it just go to Fox news!

I have just been reading how demyelination of the cochlear nerve is a factor in tinnitus & that certain supplements will help remyelinate the nerve. Unfortunately can't find where I read it

Demylenation usually comes with diseases like MS. Perhaps MS medications help remylenate?

"Muscle spasms or myoclonus of palatal muscles or those of the middle ear (stapedius, tensor tympani) may cause perceptible noise, typically a rhythmic clicking. Such spasms may be idiopathic or caused by tumors, head trauma, and infectious or demyelinating diseases (eg, multiple sclerosis). Palatal myoclonus causes visible movement of the palate, tympanic membrane, or both that coincides with tinnitus."
