Can anyone recommend a good earplug for flying that will cut some of the engine noise out. Have found online, Alpine FlyFit earplugs(not available in New Zealand) has anyone used them.
Previously flown without & found when I landed that the t was raging so much so that I've not been on a plane since.Took weeks to settle. I really want to fly & see my grandchildren who live over seas.

Have you tried using noise-cancelling headphones? They make them specifically for airline travel. They block out a lot of noise. They are a lot more expensive than earplugs, but it would be worth the price if they let you see your grandchildren. I would surely die if I couldn't see my grandchildren. :)

Musician earplugs are suppose to be good.

My sister has bought some noise cancelling headphones for a trip to Thailand next week so she will let me know how well they work.

I always suggest Etymotic Research ER20 for every day use. They come with a carrying case that goes on your key chain. I never leave home without them.

Do your best to sit at the front of the plane. Getting stuck near an engine will be twice as bad.
