This was in a thread "Got My Prescription for Neurontin" from 4/12/12:

"I take 2 mg. Ativan at night for sleep and it does nothing for my tinnitus taken alone. I just started the Neurontin around the 13th of April and i'm noticing its alot better, it must be the neurontin. I'm gonna give it another couple of weeks and maybe up the dose another 300 mg. at that time. Another med i take is Baclofen which is a muscle relaxant and i notice when i take that my T really calms down."

If you search the word in the search box just up at the top of this page, you may find more hits on the word. It's a GABA-B promoter, right? Since GABA helps may people with T, it seem like it would help some of us.

Not really sure. I don't know of people who have been on muscle relaxants for years--only people who have been on it for a short time, say 6 weeks. I can ask my super-doc next time I see him about long-term safety or maybe my dot who is a PA. She might know. This is a GABA-B promoter which is a bit dif than a GABA-A promoter, but GABA-B may also work on T for some people, at least it did for the person in the thread. Have you come across any trials on GABA-B for T?

Baclofen has been very effective for people with spastic Cerebral Palsy by easing the spasms. That is all I know.
