I find its a day to day, sometimes minute to minute coping with T. I am seeing a therapist weekly who is guiding me through cognitive behavior therapy. When that does not work i take an anti-anxiety med which does not reduce the sound but does reduce my anxiety around it. Coming to this site helps a lot too. You will cope better day by day. Sounds like you have a wonderful family. Stay STRONG.
God Bless :)
I am also having a bad spike the last few days. It started with a cold, then I mowed my lawn without my earplugs. :(
So I am praying too Volfan that it will go away and I have not damaged myself more. I am going with the cold.
I have used distraction as a means of being able to handle spikes.
It really is the only thing that works for me.
God bless us all,
Kasandra
The suffering continues and it rips my heart continuously. But i fight on.
Muscle.
I have one ear ringing for 38 years and the other for 8 years (much louder). You do adjust in time. I focus on other things and sometimes realize I didn't "hear" my ears for hours.
I wish you well.
During any real difficult time, I give myself a time-out. Water sounds from an MP3 player really helps to disguise the noise as well even a turned on faucet in the bathroom. Anything to offset the intrusive internal noises. You may even catch me at a shopping mall enjoying a fountain. Sometimes there is another individual
Just sitting there and I wonder to myself if that person has tinnitus.
A good method to alleviate spikes would be doctor recommended anti anxiety meds. A good night sleep certainly increases the odds of a better day. May I pray that you begin to feel better.
