I had a TT and papillary cancer with huge nodules. I learned the other day that that my daughter who is 20 yr younger than me had huge nodules that grew fast like mine did. She had a TT but doesn't yet know the biopsy results.
Her doctor said this type is genetic. She has yet to get the results of the biopsy however I knew the day of surgery the status of mine.

By the way, she and I have matching scars. We've also both had our gallbladder removed as well.

Otherwise, there have been no other cases that I know of, at least not in my living relatives.

This was the first time I'd read anything that even suggested a possible link between Thyca and our DNA.
I definitely think there is a genetic disposition for cancer. There hasn't been any Thyroid Cancer in my family but, my Dad had Laryngeal (Vocal Cord) Cancer which is close, I guess. Then a few years later he was diagnosed with Lung Cancer which he died from last year.
