I was diagnosed last March at age 44 and never did find out what stage I was at. I had a very large tumor (4cm) that was encapsulated so I don't know how that translates to staging.
I am currently doing fantastic! Surgery & RAI were very tolerable and I did not experience any real set backs or complications. Getting back to "normal" did take several months but I got there and I'm not looking back!
I am gearing up for my next six month check up (November) and although it does continue to make me a little anxious, I am confident that once again, I'll get a clean bill of health. Positive attitude = positive results!
My one solid piece of advice is to give yourself time when going through this process. You can't expect too much too soon. If you focus on you and your recovery, you'll get there and life will be good!
Thanks for your response andd please know there are many people hear to support you. I had surgery just about 5 weeks agaon for a very large involved tumor and I am doing very well. The wait is the scariest part. Please let me know when your surgery is so I can keep you in my thoughts that day, I will be praying for you.
