OK - so I am in the days before my RAI treatment. i am off my hormone meds and on a low iodine diet.
But I goofed and did not shop correctly for my diet - so my diet has been pretty darn limited to just a few items for the last ten days. I have probably been eating about 600 calories a day - with most of those being carrots and brocolli.
Now I expected to feel not great - but not to this extreme! I am vomiting, dizzy to the point that passing out is way to possible and so tired that I am sleeping up to 20 hours a day. I don't feel well enough to interact and smells are killing me - not to mention that I have zero temperture monitoring. I am freezing most of the time, then randomly just break out into a full body sweat. The only way I have been able to deal with my temperature extremees is by a nice warm bath - which makes me feel all the way better, at least for an hour or two.
I have called upon some friends of mine who are great chefs to expand my diet to something a LOT better - but I wonder how much is bad nutrition and how much is hypothyroid?

Boy it helps having friends who actually know how to cook from scratch! I just wish I had not been so proud to have asked for help sooner.
I go in on Friday for my low dose. Monday is my scan and Tuesday is my RAI - I don't know when I get to go off the low iodine diet, but I assume it is by Thurs or Friday.
I can't wait and hubby is on orders to bring me pizza at the first opportunity that it will not affect me medically!!!
