I had my post -op appointment with the surgeon after my total-thyroidectomy last week. They did find cancer, but it is a very good kind called papillary microcarcinoma. The six lymph nodes they took out during surgery were totally clear. I still have to see my Endo, but the surgeon said I will probably not have to have RAI treatment, just follow up and an ultasound in a year.
I know that with that good news, it had to of made your day a bit brighter!
