Hi All,
I have an appointment scheduled for Monday morning with a Vascular Surgeon in NYC.
I just wanted to find out how some of you were diagnosed and if there was anything you recommended me asking the doctor. I want to ensure I get the correct tests done so I can figure out what is going on.
In addition - does anybody experience a discomfort around their front throat area? I am pretty sure that if I have TOS, I have compression of my arteries. I know that the subclavian is located in that area and I am terrified of some type of blood clot. I should be ok until Monday though if I have waited this long right?

The exercise program that guy was doing is the one I finished twice before my symptoms started. I also work in front of a computer all day AND I have scoliosis. I am like the billboard for TOS.
Anyway I just thought I could get some advice from you all over the weekend to prepare for my appointment on Monday. Is there anybody that had venous or arterial TOS?

make sure the vascular sergeon does an arteriogram on you. You can still have neurogenic thoracic outlet syndrome though even if the arterioram shows no veins or arteries are being compressed.
I went to a specialist who evaluates for neurogenic thoracic outlet syndrome his name is Dr. Togut, he is in Wilkes-Barre, PA. He is very thorough in his examination. TOS is not detected on EMG.
