Hope that she figures out what to do with him, and get that kid some relief! Hell, they will run your ass ragged doing lab work and repeat visits! .....In fact we just got back in the door from another "appointment". It was Hell getting Charley up, dressed, and willing to leave the house this morning. He had been up most of the night ( sleep schedule is all screwed up again ) and so he was cranky and tired....and there was snow flurries outside and cold, so he didnt want to get out in that....So, I had to bribe him with Bar-B-Q !!! Geez....What we have to go through!!

I understand getting them up and out the door. My son is never ready and on time. I now tell him a 1/2 hour earlier to be ready and then we get to appts on time. I am worried about the sleep deprived EEG........not sure how I am going to keep him up. in order to do that I will have to stay up and then I will be pooped out driving 3 hours to get there and three hours to get home. yikkes ! My son always falls asleep in the car , so that will be a issue also. I guess we will do what we can.

When we did the sleep deprived thing.....oh geez.....Poor little Gabe and I kept him up all night....It was done in a hospital, because he had a really bad seizurre....anyhow Gabe and I had to stay up all night with him - trying to entertain ourselves and keep ourselves up as well, we had already been up all night and day because of the seizure episode the day before- the ambulance to hospital A then the transfer to hospital B 2 hours away, then we were up all night, then the next day they said they wanted to keep him up all night for a sleep deprived test the next morning!!.....All that was on tv was stupid crap, like shows about penguins, or how to organize your closets!! - So everytime he would doze off it was "Hey Charley, wake up look what they are doing to this closet!!" He was starting to get pissed at us, so we would take turns waking him up! When they finally came to get him at 8am the next morning Gabe and I crashed! Hell, Gabe and I had been up for 2 damn days! It was harder on us because the first day he was sleeping alot after the seizure...not us though, we were watching him making sure he didnt have another one! We didnt know they were going to want us to stay up all night again!!!.We were glad to see them come get him and wheel him out the door!!!..Then when they brought him back to the room and woke us up, it pissed us off! Then that afternoon they came in- woke all of us up and said "well, he can go home now"......I told them " Oh really???well, here it is 4pm, way past checkout time for the day....in fact you arent going to charge anymore ...so you go ahead and feed him supper, so I can take a damn nap for a few hours, so I can drive the 2 1/2 hours home!!.....................Yeah, those tests are fun! You can learn alot about penguins, and how to organize a damn closet while eating alot of crunchy hospital ice, and running back and forth to the snack machine!

OH so hope it was worth it, praying about the results.

Careful with the Elavfl, years ago I was put on Elavil Plus, itis adicting.A neighbour of mine on them 20 yrs and the newdr took her off, not a pretty scene

My son who has headaches and bone pain is on Elavil and it is helping him a lot. It does make you gain weight. It is good that she is willing to try different drugs. Dont know about scar tissue on the brain but it does make sense. I am really hoping for you that something works.
Snap I dont know how you can tell those terrible stories and they still are funny. Or do I have a warped sense of humor????
Lord, I hope they release Larry tomorrow. I dont know how many more trips my son and I can stand to OKC with Larry critiquing his driving!!!

Charley chewed my ass the other day, because he didnt think I came to a complete stop at a sign!!! I think he has an inertia problem as well as balance and vertigo!!....Hell, I know a complete stop when I see one.....alot of things came to a complete stop the day of the accident! Sex being one of them!!! So there Charley, hows that for a complete friggin stop!!!???

Pam...my husband gets the severe headaches too. He's not on anything, he will usually sleep and rest a lot when he has them...gets them usually from visual overstimulation though. I know he had an MRI awhile ago and they said there was scar tissue, but they never said anything about the headaches being from that, only visual overstimulation. Good luck...I hope they can help your son out with those tests. Love, Run
