The Tea Room Community Group
This is a private group by invitation only. It is a group for those who have a loved one with a brain injury. This group was not founded by me but I will serve as the founder temporarily as one of the first members.
I thought that this was pretty funny, but only you guys would get the humor in it. My son who has been taken over by that alien called TBI had had a few scraps with the law since injury. Damn those frontal lobes ! Anyways part of him punishment is to do a work release program. So yesterday was his first day. He was up and ready to go by 6:30 am and I made his lunch. I was thinking wow he actually has his sh*t together....good for him ! Well not so fast, he forgot to eat breakfast and he has migraine issues that can be brought on by hunger. So his lunch became his breakfast. His duty was to do trash pickup on the highway. I dont know about all you guys but I would have signed up for working at the pound and play with the puppies and scooping poop as my duty. But he said no dog poop for him! Ok fine........He comes home and he had a great time. He likes picking up trash because it is like a treasure hunt. One guy found money and he found a cool buck knife. They get to keep anything they find. Now I guess this qualifies under the heading of HOARDING. Since his injury he has become a hoarder of crap. If someone has something free along side the road, it is at my house. Yikees !
Funny thing he brought home a really nice dresser that someone left on the road for free. I ddi not look at it very well but at a quick glance I was amazed it was so nice. The other day I looked at it and was trying to figure out why it leaned like the tower of pisa. I guess who ever owned did not have level floors. So I asked him about it and he looked at it and said wow I thought it was just my eyes playing tricks on me. So we shimmed it up and it is ok.
So today he is working at the sheriffs station but at least I will n to have to drive him because it is within walking distance. He said maybe if he gets to know all the cops maybe they wont hassle him so much.

Antler? Oh Boy we got lots of those. Larry has them all in and around his Manland. They are becoming fashionally chic in interior decorating these days. I have been seeing them on the internet a lot repurposed into decor.
My main problem is I have a booth in an antique mall, make jewelry to sell, make button items, and have about 2000 books which I was selling online. So thats a lot of stuff.
I did think reading those posts that there are lots worse things to bring home than junk and I admire you guys who can sneak things away. I have the opposite problem with Larry. He doesnt remember what things are for so he just puts them out for junk. I have to drag stuff back like a power washer and tomato cages.
Pam- Did you say he was washing windows? Send him here please, I have plenty of windows he can do!!! 50 of them to be exact!!!!
WSon came down to see me sitting with a naked doll on my lap crcoheting , tried to explain I was making a custom outfit for said doll but he shook his head and told my husband I was in my second childhood...hmmm not a bad idea.
