Do they know which section is blocked???The valve, reservoir, tubing????My son is having servere headaches with pressure noted when the Neuro Dr checked his reservoir and drained it and it fillled up...I am worried that he is going to go down hill quickly again and he may not make it this time as he is only 6yr old and weighs 20kgs...Is this how your symptoms start if you have a malfunction and some people are different???????Let me know and best wishes with your surgery again for you blockage.....
Hi! My name is Hopeful. I've had hydrocephalus all of my life(but was not diagnoised until 1997). I have had 10 surgeries since 1997. The way that you can tell that your shunt is blocked is you will get a severe headache and usually start vomiting. But when my reservoir was blocked in my shunt I had a pocket of fluid around the reservoir.
