Hello my hen friends!
I like the quiet of early morning. I've become so used to having my time to myself that I can't imagine allowing anyone into my life again. My shrink suggested that after I recover from my recent surgery I might feel well enough to 'get back in the game'. I rolled my eyes...would have twirled my head if my neck allowed it.
I have my third PT visit this morning. I know I'm making excellent progress, but I'll be more enthusiastic when it doesn't hurt so damned much. I refuse to be a wimp, though. No frozen shoulder for me! I want to be able to do hair again...my Mother isn't happy with anyone else's work.
If it takes 6 weeks for bone to heal then I'm half way there!
Hugs and clucks...

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
A hug for you and prayers.
A good day for all, sending my love,
Sandy
Cherry. "twirled my head" LOL. Its great to get to step back and revisit life to see what we do and do not want. It's comforting to me that you and I are on the same kind of journey where we are forced to stop the madness that we were on. I had to stop my shrink for $$ reasons but she gave me great tips and excellent workbook and I'm learning tons to keep out of depression for my situation. I just wish I could stop doing so many things. Yesterday was supposed to be my day off and I'm sure I did 20 things on my list and still felt guilty that I didn't do enough. I still have learn to RELAX.
Today I'm taking my son and his friend golfing and hope it doesn't rain. Head hurts but I've dosed up.
Big hugs to you all. I see your smiling face Sandy and it brightens my room.
sandy, you're avi is so uplifting. love your smile!
enigma, i know you're used to working hard and doing many things. i'm glad you're relaxing today and hope that distracts you from the migraine.
i overdid it yesterday and didn't sleep well at all, so i'm moving slowly today. i have a lot i want to do and will accomplish what i can.
hoping for the best for all hens!
Saturday I adopted an awesome little guy from a rescue organization. Not the one we foster for. The one works only with small dogs. My guy is either a shorkie or a morkie. He came from a shelter about 150 miles from us. He was owner surrender and believed to come from a backyard breeder who tried to create new breeds. He is amazing. Very social and smart. Weighs about 7lbs. We bonded from the moment we met. I posted a picture in my photo's and I will get one here on our photo section.
Two months ago we fostered a shi/lahso and ever since I have wanted a small companion to love on. This guy is it. His name is Romeo.
Cherry it sounds like you are coming along with your healing. So proud you are giving it time to heal and in the end it will be good. I bet all your clients are as anxious as you are for you to heal.
Serenity I commented on your journal and I hope you get some rest today.
Sandy it is always good to see your smiling face.
prayers & care for all
Love catching up with everyone even if I don't have time to reply. Love you girls!
Get better, slowly cherry
Don't overdo sern, we've told u that before!
Hippy, great to rescue. When we were at ranch, bro in law had poodle (standard) retriever mix. Avery shy dog, but we made friends. So sad some come to us abused. Even in suttle ways they know.
Enig, hope our head is better and day went well
Knot, I know those bones, help.
Hugs to all others. I am closing in and if this smoke does not get better, I'm driving to moms. Least of two evils
Hugs
