Since it was my idea to have an evening check in, I figured I'd better start one! As far as I'm concerned, anything after 5:00 is evening and it's 5:45 where I live.
Well...I did it. I used my magic food card this afternoon. My parents picked me up and I asked to go to the store on the edge of town and I went to the last cashier in the row where there was no one else in line. I'm obviously still coming to grips with this help. I was careful, as always, to buy practical things and mostly all on sale. It's a habit from raising a family and a good one, I think.
My Son and his Fiance are officially homeowners as of today! The closing had to be postponed until afternoon in order to take care of a couple unforeseen issues, but it finally happened. They're bringing up the load of stuff that's been crammed in one of their vehicles all day and then somehow planning to squeeze the bed into the car so they can sleep there tonight! Tomorrow is the big moving day. They had hoped to get a lot of the smaller stuff moved today, but the stalled closing ruined that plan.
My Mom and I are cooking for them tomorrow. They aren't going to have time to be bothering with that and they still have to eat! I should feel a little better since it will be the second day of my Fentanyl patch...counting on it. I also only have one client in the morning so the rest of the day is mine to cook and bake until I drop!
So I have food to cook for myself and I'm too damned tired to bother tonight. Looks like a cereal night. I'm already in my comfy nightwear...waiting for the freezing rain to start. I hope it doesn't mess up moving day too much. They have a very long, dirt, uphill driveway! Yikes!
So...I didn't mean to type a novel. I would have tried to make it more interesting if I had! What's everybody else doing?
Hugs...

88FWhat I do like is early morning clouds and then they disappear and the sun comes out. That was it's cooler in the morning. I'm sitting here looking out the window at the hummingbird with the river and dike as a back drop. It's hard to invision ever leaving but I'm also a realist with aging, especially when the luncheon we had with thirty former classmates on Monday. Sandra, we get news of...

Please wish me some luck.
