Morning Hens,
Well my youngest is 17 today. One more year and I won't have anymore babies at home:( well I guess I will have the grand baby but she too will be starting pre school and won't be here much. Maybe I will adopt.....naaaaaa I'm getting to old.
I have a friend down from MI that I have been visiting with. She is like a second mother to me. She will be 80 this year.....doesn't seem possible!
I'm still sewing. I'll get tired of it soon and move on to something else mainly because I get agrevated with my sewing machine acting up! I hate it. I think it's time to ask Santa for a new one!
Other than that I haven't done much. Went on the road with dh last week. It was kinda fun. We saw the largest Amish community I have ever seen. The houses were so pretty in that little town and the farms were so well kept. It was my favorite part of the trip. I am thinking seriously about going with him all the time. His blood level keeps going up which is a sign of cancer but they can't find any. I keep thinking my days with him may be numbered and I better spend as much time with him as I can. My only hang up is my youngest son still being home and my granddaughter hasn't started pre school yet. Realistically I need to stay home but what if my time is limited with my dh....I am going to regret not spending this time with him. What would you do?
Well I hear dh pulling up in driveway with granddaughter so I better go.
Love you all.
Hugs

88FWhat I do like is early morning clouds and then they disappear and the sun comes out. That was it's cooler in the morning. I'm sitting here looking out the window at the hummingbird with the river and dike as a back drop. It's hard to invision ever leaving but I'm also a realist with aging, especially when the luncheon we had with thirty former classmates on Monday. Sandra, we get news of...

89FToday it is again another hot day but cooler then yesterday. Since this is August it is to be expected in my neck of the woods. All the grass is yellow and flowers are starting to go to seed. I need to water my garden but this time of the year I'm so over it, which is weird because all my plants have their fruit or veggies.Sandra, this time of year reminds me of your Dad and his toms. We'd...

Your trip was sounding great even when you posted. To hear about the large Amish community even better.
It sounds like you enjoyed it. I say go with him as much as his health allows him to go out. Tell your DIL that you may be unavailable some weeks. Your mom and your son's oldest brother are around to check on him. Also your brother. I know it is a hard call. Boys at his age require much supervision but they also must learn about trust with their parents. Have fun with your little bundle of joy.
Taking a rest today. Maybe a load of laundry. Tomorrow I have annual physicical. Then I also have an order from PM doctor for an X-ray of my neck. Will try to get that done while I am there. Yesterday close to 90 and today our high will be 73. We are working our way to summer. Had a taste of it yesterday.
Empathy is mum home yet? Hope so. Also hope your weather has calmed down. Have you finished Milo's castle yet. It sure sounds awesome.
Carly hope you are doing ok. Can't remember if you said you would have a small garden or not.
Muskrat have you thawed out yet?
RJ would love to,hear from you when you are able.
many hugs

Hippy ..Yes mum came home last night, she was bought home by ambulance which was convenient and saved us trying to organise something.
She is very weak and needs encouraging to get up to go the to the toilet.
I had to work today, i was worried about dad trying to get her down the stairs, but thankfully she's stayed in bed.
She wants her hair washed and a shower, i'm hoping he waits until i get home from work tomorrow.
She's quite confused at times, showing dementia.
I cleaned her false teeth today for the first time ever which was a bit weird lol
Dix, I think if it were me i wouldn't go all the time, perhaps every other time.
You cant get back time spent with your son just as you cant get back time spent with hubby.
IF hubby was to get terminal, who are you going to be looking towards, your boys, so i would be building that foundation and making a strong relationship where possible.
Of course they will go off and live their lives, but if you've built that bond with them they will be a great sense of support and comfort should you need it.
