Good morning, hens. Our chief clucker is away overnight so I thought I'd fill in.
It's 54 degrees at 7:30 in VT. We had rain and quite the enthusiastic thunderstorm yesterday...more expected today and tomorrow. I don't mind the cooler temps, but the dampness doesn't do good things for my body.
I'm starting my workday with a color at 8:00 to pay for the grooming my Peke had yesterday. The other two will have their nails cut this morning, too. We've been bartering for some time and though I'd rather be making the money, Leo looks so handsome with his Summer cut! When he stretches his neck and sits up tall, he does look a bit like an Alpaca/Peke mix!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
My husband and son have gone off fishing for the day, which leaves me and my daughter to enjoy the morning together. She is addicted to........get this......game shows! lol She has been ever since she was like 4 yrs old, so she is wanting me to watch Let's Make a Deal & the Price is Right with her. Will prob. play my Sims 3 afterwards.
We have a break from the hot weather today. It is currently only 65 degrees which is awesome because I like the cooler weather. Slept so well last night (and all night by the way) with the window open and the window fan in, to pull in the fresh air.
So, nothing too exciting here. Hope you enjoy your day!

It is cooler here. I slept better and a little longer. Today I am going to tackle the dust and floors.
A simple refreshing summer salad is:
Chilled seedless watermelon chunks
Thin sliced sweet red onion
Crumbled Feta cheese
Drizzle with Basalmic Vineger

Laying on the table was the worst part. Why can't they make those with memory foam!!! Only in a perfect world!!
