I know for me if I wake up no matter what time that is it for me. I have never been able to sleep during the day.
It makes for misery when you are in so much pain. It is hard to relax all those muscles. I wish there was a way.
LiKe Dixie, I wish your doctor would try something new for you. It seems the medical field in general is so fearful of killing us with too many meds that they are killing us with too little.
love and peace

I'm just so glad that you are here with us. I know, hun, and wish I could hug it away. Last night I was looking back at my life and thinking of all the suprises, good and bad, and how unexpected everything was.
he highlights in my life were about the little things. How pain has shaped me to have patience and forced me to stop, have compassion, blah blah blah. I'm not going to pump sunshine up your butt. You have read it here dozens of times and said so yourself.
We are what we are, one foot forward, one day at a time. I have never met you in person, but you are an instrumental person in my life that keeps me going. Feeling high or feeling low, I love you for being your authentic self for us. I gain courage in my day, knowing that you are going through the same.
I woke every hour and inbetween was nightmare. My head is screaming and I have to lead an inventory. My situation isn't worse; it is equal inside my soul and if it wasn't for this support group and reading these posts and gaining strength from couragous people like you, I couldn't go on.
Today is a tough one,and tomorrow might be a nice surprise.
Love to you all, my strong buddies.
Angela
If your body is so tight, perhaps some relaxation tapes would help? Have you ever tried meditation? It does help with sleep problems. Even just breathing consciously and evenly could help you relax so you could sleep better. Counting your breaths in and breathing out the same number of counts out. When I do that, it makes me sleepy.
I really hope you can find something to help you sleep.
hugs,
Ama
I am so sorry that you are having problems with your pain and lack of sleep. As you already know, I am up all night myself many times. I am just now seeing a change in pattern where I am getting to sleep a little earlier. I still wake up after 3-4 hours of sleep, then I am up all night. There are times when I become so exhausted from lack of sleep, that my body finally gives in and will sleep for hours. Does this ever happen to you? Where you become so exhausted that you finally sleep all night? I don't take any sleep medications because they do not work for me, however, maybe there is something that your doctor can prescribe that you have not tried?
Dealing with pain day in and day out is so exhausting and I am so sorry that you are dealing with increased pain levels. I pray that your pain eases up and you get relief very soon.
Hoping you have a better day tomorrow.....and the next....and the next.
Gentle Hugs,
Carrie
And I don't get so exhausted that I sleep for hours...ever! I had called my doctor over two weeks ago concerning the reaction I had to the muscle relaxant and mentioned another issue I was having. Her nurse finally called me today to tell me that the doc said she'd talk to me about different meds at my appt....July 18th!!!
I better stop before I continue this whine fest. Hugs to all and thanks, again.
