I thought I'd start the thread since I have insomnia again. My plans are to tidy the house, answer the phone and tell Jim I don't want to spend the day with him, then go to the pub for my gingerale and sit with the old timers for a few laughs and repeat to well wishers that 'no I don't have a job yet', come home to my doggies and have cereal for dinner because I have no apetite.
Ughhhhh when does it end. Today I took my parents out for the day at the planetarium and while having coffee my mother asked me if I got the botox this week for my migraines and I said that yes, he put three shots in my forehead and the top of my head, down the back and into my neck, and she said "hummph, you should have told him to put a bunch of doses all over the rest of your face".........
I need a hug.......
I thought I'd take up ice skating everyday again.
What's everyone else's day like today?

88FIn 1969 we decided to get married without a big wedding. Most of our friends and family liked large over the top for the time kind of weddings and I did not. First, I didn't see why spending so much money for one day when we have the rest of our lives to live. I have never regretted not having a big formal wedding. Another issue is not liking all the attention. Also, we have gone to big...

It's going to get hotter here with Thursday being the hottest. It's noon and 75f feels more like 80 or more.I've been cleaning up the deck in this morning and cleaning the windows outside. Then I cut up a pallet in half, I've decided to call it quits now because I went a bit light headed. Joanne, some drugs we take have an effect on us in the heat, I know a couple of mine do, maybe yours...

I've been up since 3:30, but I got enough sleep since my light is usually out by 9:00. I'm sorry you're up for a different reason. Mothers sure know how to make you feel like crap...mine is a pro!
Saw my PA yesterday and adjusted one of my antidepressants. She is soooo much better than the doc I had been stuck with for a few years. I feel like we're working together. Of course it would be better if my pain could be managed better, but it's just something I have to accept.
Hugs and clucks...extra hug for you, Angela!
I think I need my antidepressant upped too Cherry. Going to talk to my Dr. About it on the 27th. Hadn't really thought about it til I was talking to a friend. My energy level is so low and I thought it was lack of B12 but actually everything in my life is depressing right now. My dh is angry and depressed, going through cancer and can't get along with my boys, my boys are teens going through lots of problems that are driving me insane, and our current finances have me worried sick. Got a lot on my plate right now....maybe that's the reason for my lack of energy? All I know is something needs to give.
Long day ahead and I am so angry at my husband I could spit nails!!
Wishing you all a good day
cherry, i'm glad you have a good relationship with your PA and you feel the effects of increasing anti-d.
dixie, you do have a lot to deal with and that really zaps energy. hope you can take you mind off things for a bit.
i slept a tiny bit better last night, but after a week or more of this i'm still very tired and frustrated with all i haven't gotten done. it's like a tangled ball of string and hard to see any progress, so i just sit and stare after awhile.
sorry none of us are in a very happy place right now...hoping things will improve all around!
lol, i often have cereal for lunch just because its easy and quick!
SENDING BIG BEAR HUGS
Bear hugs for every hen : )
For me its my dad!!
4:40pm and i am so worn out ! Ive been moving my wardrobe, me and DH decided that perhaps a change in the bedroom would be a good idea, you know like when you can get a bit stuck in a rut and need a change, sometimes a change can give you a bit of a boost! I'd love to repaint the walls but that will have to wait until parents go on holiday.
take care hens
Angela, I am sending you hugs and prayers!
Cherry, I am so glad that you love your new PA. You sure went through so much hell with the other doc!!
Kim, I just went to my doc yesterday and he increased the dosage of my antidepressant also… sure hope it helps.
Serenity, I sure understand going through the insomnia.. I go through nights of that too but it comes for nights and then goes.
I am wishing you some restful sleep!
Empathy, I love the idea of changing around a room. We just got the tree down from living room and it is sure nice to put things back the way the were before.. a nice change also!
I had a rough night too but after pain meds and muscle relaxers I am feeling better and sure hope that it can last for the day.
DH and I have to go shopping for a few things and then out to dinner.
Blessings to all… and big gentle hugs!
Cherry, I wonder if our moms even know what they are doing. My mother always wants my hair short and whenever I cut it....it's just not good enough. I was shocked when she arrived the other day that she didn't make a comment about me being in my pjs with a clip in my hair. :-) Wonder's never cease. I so hope you can manage your pain.
Seren, wishing you a good night sleep. I am hoping for one as well. You need to stop staring at that ball of thread, my dear. :-)
Empathy, dh eats cereal for lunch everyday and oatmeal for breakfast. He won't eat anything on the ride home from the ranch on Sunday as he will be fasting......and it's not a religious thing.
I use to love to move clothes around for a change. But never with dh's help. He would just get in the way. So good you can work with yours. Big hugs.
Cindi, I hope you were able to enjoy the shopping and then out to dinner.
I have been wanting to go to bed since 6 P but knew that would be too early. I bet that would have been the best sleep as I was sooooo sleepy. I just knew someone was going to call and those crazy neighbors are still partying.
I have chills and fever and I'm freezing. I rarely get a cold but when I do it hits hard. Cannot remember the last one I had. But I think this one may linger. :-(
Wishing all Hen's a great week. Hope to catch up soon.
