My lovely Hens
I have an insane schedule in September and already it is taking it's toll. (I know!, it's still August) I find I have time to read your posts and I want so much to respond, but I only have time to read. Seems selfish to just read, but I want you to know that I am reading and cheering you on even though there is silence here.
This week I have to move my parents (in their 80's) so there is a lot of unpacking to contend to, plus I'm going on vacation Sept 8th for two weeks so there are a lot of errands to contend with. Plus, I have never gone on vacation for two entire weeks at work and on top of it, we are understaffed and there is panic in a few people's eyes, but I know they will be fine. There is a lot of pressure on me right now to do some impossible things and so far I'm handling it well (oh sure, my head is killing me today).
When I go on vacation, I'm driving half way across Canada to where I grew up. (Winnipeg 32 hours) My best friend is going through Chemo at this time so I'm not sure how that will go. She is a trooper and I will make it a positive experience as I can. I have two brand new grand nieces awaiting me too and I'm planning some spoiling of them and my nieces. Then I'm driving up north to where I spent my teen years where my other best bud lives. She has been living with chronic pain but has been house bound for years and I'm real excited about that visit too.
Then when I come back I have to contend with a major inventory at work and German visitors to throw everything off balance. Oh joy. And hopefully, there will be some candidates for a new assistant because the last few candidates were not very good. Oh well, at least I'm gainfully employed and respected.
Anyways, you guys are my rock. I read about your grandchildren and the new teeth and the kids going back to school and the chickens going missing and the dinners you make and new projects and the sleep and great big lack of it and the bobblehead clients and the doctors appointments and shopping trips and everything inbetween. It helps me feel normal and connected. I'm here almost everyday.
